JEDDAH: Ace Travel got the better of Natco by 27 runs during the sixth week of the Premier Division Cricket League organized by the Jeddah Cricket Association here.

In the other matches of the same division, ARM continued their unbeaten run when the routed Micro Engineering by 100 runs while Pak Green eased past Dessert Warriors by 6 wickets.

Ace Travel got off to a good start with openers in fine form. Later the middle order continued from where the openers left. Kaleem (54) and Haroon Abdulla (33) laid the foundation for Atta (46) and Amir (45) to build on and enable Ace Travel put on board 204 in 20 overs. Aashiq (2 for 31) impressed for the bowling side.

In reply Natco were all out for 177 off 17.3 overs. Haroon Abdulla wrecked the rival batting lineup and bagged 4 for 4 runs off 9 balls. Sohail (2 for 37) and Zahid (2 for 38) gave him good support. Humayun (27) and Arif (26) were the main scorers.

In the other match, Dessert Warriors totaled 221 runs against Pak Green. Junaid was in fine knick as he clobbered the rival bowlers with some lusty batting for his knock of 80.

In reply Pak Green went to a run feast as they reached the target of 224 for 4 wickets off 16.3 overs. Pak Green’s duo of Shahzad Ahmed 76 runs off 34 balls and Amir Shahzad 70 runs off 32 balls (5 fours, 6 sixes) went on on a rampage like they have done so many times. in the past and with support from Sajid (31 n.o.) ensured that they maintain a healthy run rate.

Later, ARM continued their good show and piled up 215 runs. Opener Athar Ali 53 runs off 40 Balls and skipper Najam with an unbeaten 54 runs scored with their usual flair. Mamraiz chipped in with a quick 28. Mujahid with 3 for 28 and Kaleem with 2 for 38 bowled their hearts out. However in reply Micro Engineering just had no answer to the sharp spin of ARM spinners Sami (3 For 31) and Shani (3 For 23) and were bundled out for 115 runs. Only Ismail (21) and Mujahid (20) offered resistance the rest caved in.

In the Jotun Cup, Al Gudaid and KAIA recorded narrow wins over their opponents Al Khulais and Reel & Rom by 11 and 20 runs respectively.

Al Gudaid scored 176 for 6 in its allotted overs. Yusuf (66) and Muhammad Ali (69) were the main run getters. Hasnain took 2 for 28.

In reply Al Khulais started well. Adnan Butt (46), Khalil (34) and Majid Bhatti (31) were among the runs. However Tariq (3 for 35), Umar (2 for 25) and Shabir (2 for 48) bowled a tight length to bowl out Al Khulais for 165 in the 19th over.

In the other match, KAIA batted first and scored 191 for 5. Amin (55) batted with authority. Irfan bowled well to take 2 for 32. In reply Reel and Rom gave a befitting reply with Nisar (41 and Munir (32) supported him along with Amjad (21) but could manage 171 for 5. Bilal tightened the screws with 2 for 23 to give KAIA a surprise win.

In the last match Saleheen got a walk over as Al Boroj did not turn up.
