JEDDAH: Ace Travels routed ARM by 131 runs and maintained their winning spree, Desert Warriors upset last season’s champion Pak Green by 7 wickets, Maazco breezed past new entrants Caravan Travels by 85 runs and Natco got the better of Maazco by 18 runs during the third week of the Ace Travels Premier League organized by the Jeddah Cricket Association.

Ace Travels piled up 278 for 6 against their fancied rivals. Opening batsman Abdul Wahid hit quick-fire 112 runs. His partner Shahzad Ahmed contributed 53. Maqsood (21), Rashid (21), Bilal 34 and Mamraiz Khan (19 not out) were the other contributors.

Rashid Khursheed 3 for 42, Sami Khan 2 for 57 and Sadiq Merchant 2 for 44 were the wicket takers. In reply ARM were bundled out for a paltry 147 for 9. Skipper Nazeer (51) and Rashid Khursheed (39) did their best. Bilal 3 for 22, Parvez Khan 3 for 15, Maqsood grabbed 2 for 13 did most of the damage.

In the other match, Pak Green took the wicket first and put up 216 for 8. Shaan Malik Manzoor (72), Asim Ashfaq (23), Javed (30) and Adnan (21) contributed to the total.

Adeel 3 for 34, Waseem 2 for 48 were the successful bowlers.

In reply the Warriors started well and reached their target of 217 for 3. Khalid (66) and his partner Waseem (94) laid a strong foundation. Noman, Rizwan and Amer had one wicket each for 33, 26 and 33 runs respectively.

Later Maazco batted first and made 273 for 3. Nasir (116), Imran Mani (64), and Usman Khan (66) showed form with the bat for Maazco.

In reply the Caravan Travels managed to score 188 for 6. Javed Ahmed (31), Zahoor (20), Adnan Bhatti (41), veteran all-rounder Zahid Khan (27) and Fazal scored (42) were the main contributors. Sajid took 2 for 22.

Jamoom Fighters, KAIA, Khulais win

Jamoom Fighters beat Kashmir-XI by 7 wickets, Khulais-XI edged past Ittehad XI by 5 runs and KAIA eased past Pak Young by 60 runs in the first week matches of Reel & Rom Cup.

KAIA were bowled out for 160 runs. Amin top-scored with 61 runs followed by Danish’s 32. Fazal Khattak bagged 3 for 41. Pak Young were all out for 100 runs.

Tahir (16) Azmat (17) best was not good enough. Majid 3 for 35, Bilal 3 for 8, Ahsan 2 for 21 and Danish 2 for 11 all contributed to their team’s victory.

In the other match, Khulais-XI scored 185 for 7. Adnan (63), Zahoor (32), Majid Bhatti (23) and Irshad (30) were the main scorers Rizwan 2 for 37, Waheed 2 for 26 and Fahad 2 for 37 did most of the damage. In reply the Ittehad-XI reached their target of 180 for 5.

Waheed Shah (29), Nasir (35) and Sami (29) were among the runs. Khalil 2 for 19, Mohammad 2 for 40 got the wickets.

Kashmir-XI put up a respectable 220 for 6.

Nadeem (111) and Danish (24) were the top scorers. Faisal 2 for 27 and Waseem 2 for 27 got the wickets. In reply the Jamoom Fighters scored 221 for 3 off 16.5 overs. Waseem (87) and Arshad (74) were the match winners.

Jeddah Shaheen scores over SGH

Jeddah Shaheen beat Saudi German Hospital by 5 wickets, Old Students shocked champions ICAD by one wicket while Peeran Warriors routed Peeran XI by 9 wickets in the second week of the afternoon matches.

Peeran XI batted first and collapsed for a paltry 123. Nasim with 42 was the highest run getter followed by Shafiq’s 22.

Peeran Warriors in reply reached their target 125 for 1 Farhan was aggressive as he hit an unbeaten 83 runs while Qasim contributed 22.

ICAD the last season’s champion elected to bat first, they made 132 for 6.

Waqar (28) and Shakeel (19) were the main contributors. Abdul Qadir 2 for 7 and Tariq 2 for 28 were among the wickets for Old Students. In reply the Old Students reached their target and scored 134 for 9. Asif 15, Abdul Qadir 20, Umar 15 & Imran 19 shown form with the bat. Shakeel 3 for 24 and Hassan 3 for 27 were the successful bowlers for ICAD.

Saudi German Hospital put on board 170 for 8 in their allotted overs. Huzaifa, Taqiuddin (52) and Amir (35) were the main run getters. Faisal 3 for 32, Nazim 2 for 37 and Karam 2 for 21 are the most successful bowlers.

In reply Jeddah Shaheen reached the target 171 for 5 off 17 overs.

Faisal, Tariq scored 80 runs. Irfan 2 for 45 and Amir 3 for 14 were the successful bowlers of Saudi German Hospital.
