YANBU: A devastating bowling spell by Indo Riders’ Afeef Kobaiti (7 for 29) enabled his team to rout Al-Muzain by 65 runs to enter the final of the Jotun Cup first division cricket league organized by the Yanbu Al Sinaiyah Cricket Association.

In the second semifinal Pak Cresent A scored a thrilling five-run win over Punjab XI.

In the second division semifinals, Rising Stars beat Shah XI by seven wickets and Pak Green got the better of Pak Crescent B by four wickets.

In the first semifinal Indo Riders batted first and put on board 165 for 5. Sharjeel Butt (52), Mohammad Taseef (49), Thanikan (19), Mohammad Sameer (19) were the main run getters. Almozeen Israr Ahmad and Abdul Jabbar took two wickets each.

In reply Al Muzain were all out for 109. Anyat Saaed (34), Shoab Aziz (33) and Taseef Ahmad (13) put up a fight. Afeef Kobaiti took for the 29.

In the second semifinal, Pak Crescent won the toss and scored 109 runs. Sarfraz Ahmad (22), Javed Basra (36), Raja Fahad (18) were the main scorers while 19 runs came in the form of extras. Waqas (4), Farhan Khan (3) and Asghar (2) were the wicket takers.

In response Punjab XI managed 104 for 8. Waqas Ahmad (35) Javed Iqbal (20) Shahid (15) did their best. Sohrab Khan (3) and Sarfaraz Ahmad (2) bagged wickets.

In division II, Shah Eleven scored 122 for 9. Ajmeer Khan (59) and Iftikhar (12) were the main scorers while 33 runs came from extras. Rising Stars Mohammad Aqeel took 3 wickets while Afzal, Suliman Firaz, Mazhar and Mohammad Taher took one wicket each.

In response Rising Star achieved the target and scored 126 for 3. Aamir Riyadh (50), Mohammad Tahir (31), Irfan Cheema (16), Imran Fraaz (11) steered their team to victory. Shah XI Nazeer and Afzal took a wicket each.

In the second semis, Pak Cresent B won the toss and were all out for just 74 runs. Nineteen runs came in the form of extras. Jahaan Zaib (14), Aqib Niazi (11) were the other runs getters. Ihsaan (4) and Abdul Qadir (3) took wickes.

In response Pak Green achieved the target for the loss of six wickets. Mohammad Waseem (22), Mohammad Zahid (18) and Rohail (11) steered their team to victory. Mazhar Khan and Osama took 2 wickets each.
