AFM-Moe came up with a performance that merited a Team of the Week award during the 15th session in the OSN-FTBJ 49th Open Conference bowling tournament at the Bowling City here.

AFM-Moe returned the top tally of 43 points and to put the exclamation point to its first accolade Cesar Monares clinched the individual Bowler of the Week plum after shooting the high series of 713.

League leader MC Hammer at 40 was the only other team to secure the number with Kabalen-Al Murjana missing it by 1 with 39 points.

Habagat and Sky Freight-OSN tied on 34 points followed by Red Dragons 30 and Taurus-Amigos 26.

The last three teams on the night were Bank AlJazira Fawri 24, Bowling City 18 and Romblon Marvels 12.

AFM-Moe steadied after a wobbly start, going first-second in the last two games and notching the top overall output of 3,301 for another first-place points of 12.

Monares fired games of 223, 257 and 215 to pace a trio that surpassed the 600-series mark. Abdul Fatah Mugawan, on whose initials the team name was taken, shot 666, Danny Bautista posted 649 and Nonie Yap, the Moe on the team, made 632. Sharing the rest of the games were Obie Ycasas 189-226 and Ding Dela Rosa 200.

MC Hammer also had four players topping 600 namely Rene Punzalan 657, Melvin Lising 652, Shams Mustafa 632 and Jhun Estefano 625. Dylan Ilagan tossed in 161-147 and Zaldy Bacero had 221.

Jay Bengco was the night’s second-best scorer on 706 as he spearheaded the Kabalen onslaught with lines of 205, 241 and 215. Jojie Manalansan also bowled big on 686 with Rene Ocampo and Edwin Ronquilo on 619 and 591. Jess Pineda added 212-183 and Regie Mendoza talied 187.

Habagat had the threesome of George Mangaliman, Richard Antonio and Archie Santos leading the scoring on 648, 617 and 616.

At Sky Freight veteran Cris Villavelez led a five-man rotation on 665. Pancho Cuevas fired 627, James Galvan compiled 602, Bonnie Garcia carded 594 and Goying Salazar shared 584.
