JEDDAH: Afridi XI scored a comfortable eight-wicket win over Faisal Cricket Club to win the RPB Binladin eight-over tennis tape-ball knockout cricket tournament final, organized by the Binladin Group, at their grounds recently.

Faisal CC batted first and were all out for 89 runs. Imran was the highest scorer with 40 runs followed by Rehan 20 and Anal 18. Kashif (4) and Tariq (3) were the main wicket takers for the bowling side.

In reply Afridi XI reached their target off 7.3 overs for the loss of 2 wickets. Imran (33) and Raaz (28) steered their team to victory.

Syed Ghayaz handed over the winners’ trophy to their captain Anees and the runner-up to Tariq.

Anwar Hafez, Syed Amer Faheem, Syed Umer Ahmed, Zahid Khan and Akeel-ur-Rehman were the men behind the tournament.
