JEDDAH: Al-Arabi beat Sunbulah 90-65 to grab the championship trophy in Group A division in the Titan Watch-JBL Invitational Basketball Tournament at the Nazeeh and Wartah (AlBaik) Park basketball court in Khalidia here.
Al-Arabi offense was ouststanding the whole game. Sunbulah tried hard to have some semblance of a fight to no avail. De Boss scored 24 points for Al-Arabi and was adjudged as the Titan Watch Best Player of the game while Hagosonos top-scored with 14 points for Sunbullah.

Blazers of Khalid Gab Villanueva defeated Tetra Pak 82-66 in the match for third place in Group A. Blazers went to the open man in the final quarter. Sidad had 24 points for the Blazers and was adjudged as the Giordano Best Player of the game while Laput scored 29 points for Tetra Pak.
Wasalak 40’s of coach Fred Conception beat R Printing 40’s 113-108 in overtime at the start of the best-of-three championship series for 40 & Above. Wasalak pulled through in the dying seconds of the close contest. Brian chipped in 25 points for Wasalak and was adjudged as the JBL Best Player of the game while Jameel Cobre collected 22 points for R Printing.
Laon-Alab Yellow defeated Siglahi Blue 94-87 in the JBL Teens Parents Division. Laon-Alab played its offense wisely in the final quarter as Siglahi Blue started to lose steam. Bernard Carino top-scored with 40 points for Laon-Alab and was adjudged as the Titan Watch Best Player of the game while Eleponga led the Siglahi with 35 points.
In the Midget All Star game, Black defeated White 78-70 behind a torrid fourth quarter onslaught. Durante and Franciso had 20 points apiece for Black.
In the JBL Teens Mosquitos game, White defeated Yellow 26-25 with Hamza Suyat at the helm with 16 points. Blue beat Orange 21-18 behind Brent De Borja’s 14 points. Black defeated Red 26-16 thanks to Divina Gracia’s 14 points.
