JEDDAH: Al-Kharj, Dirab, Al-Majma’ah and Huraymala confirmed their places in the semifinals of RCA Champions League, organized by Riyadh Cricket Association in collaboration with Cricket Saudi International.

In the semis, Dirab League will play Huraymala League while Al-Kharj takes on Al-Majma’ah League.

In the last league match, Dirab thrashed Diriyah League by 105 runs. Dirab elected to bat first after winning the toss and lost their in-form openers in quick succession. However, the middle order raised to the occasion and put on board 267 for 6 in the stipulated 20 overs.

Irshad Mubashir and Yassir Ahmed looked in great touch and scored 76 and 91 runs respectively. Abdul Mannan 30 and Adnan Ahmed 25 were the other major contributors. Anis and Qaiser bagged 2 wickets each while Shoaib and Usman picked a wicket each. Chasing a huge total, Diriyah League never looked in the game and lost wickets at regular intervals. Qaiser Hussain played well for his 52. Adeel and Shoaib contributed 29 each. Adnan Ahmed and Abdul Mannan shared 3 wickets each while Saqib Saleem picked 2 wickets.

In the other match, Al-Majma’ah League beat Huraymala League by 27 runs. Al-Majma’ah posted 215 for 7. Abdul Waheed smashed 71 runs while Hamza Abbasi hit 70. Farooq Khan propped up the innings with 36. Rizwan Manzoor picked 3 wickets while Yassir Ghafoor got 2. Shahzad and Zeeshan bagged a wicket each.

Huraymala in reply managed 188 runs. Captain Asif Butt was the lone fighter who scored 85. Dawood, Awais and Abdul Waheed picked 2 wickets each while Ibrar and Hamza Abbasi shared two wickets.

Later, Al Kharj League knocked out Hayer League by 8 wickets. Hayer took the wicket first and posted a formidable total of 218 for 6. Thanks mainly to Safdar’s 93 not out and Ishaq’s 60. Amjad contributed 24. Imtiaz Ahmed bowled well and picked 2 wickets. Nadeem Babar, Zahid Mir and Shakeel got a wicket each. Al Kharj raced to the target after 16.3 overs. Kamran Akram scored 60 off 29 balls while Bilal Wani and Malik Fahad remained unbeaten on 59 and 56 respectively. Other major contribution came in the form of 32 extras. Abdulaziz and Shahbaz bagged a wicket each.
