RIYADH: Alinma Aspire managed by ITBR Chairman Robert Ting continued its winning streak to post another back-to-back Team of the Week victories during the 12th and 13th sessions of the Interbank Bowling League 2015.

Team captain Jojo De Silva pushed his players to the limit to demolish handicap-rich and sister team Alinma United in three games 443-220.

Most improved player Koko Torres recorded his second Bowler of the Week title shooting the high series of 849. He was assisted by Nayef Al Saud who rolled 787, Jerry Barce 784 and Abdulrahman Ahmed 757. De Silva made 538 in three games and Angelo Train contributed 196.

In Alinma United, veteran Bernie Torres sustained his comeback with 806. Allan Ofreneo rolled 800 in support of Torres, with Teody Zulaybar on 745 and Jun Macarandan on 709. Straight bowler Deen Thassim and captain Bobby Ting had 359 and 325.

Defending champion Riyad Bank continued to outplay top performing teams beating Banque Saudi Fransi in three games 422-110. They almost tied Alinma Aspire, missing honors by one point. Southpaw Ronald dela Cruz was at his best on 825. James Frizzle, Freddie Solomon, Sonny Alviso and Ric Singson carded 813, 793, 787 and 716 respectively.

Abe Minoza was the top scorer in BSF on 782 followed by Angel Diaz 752 and Edwin Timango 712, while Dawood Sereno and Noel Morales tallied 706 and 649.

SABB loss to Saudi Hollandi Bank came as a surprise as the former struggled with only four players for the second straight week. SHB won the first three games 310-160 with the eight-mark handicap advantage against its opponent. The foursome of veterans Cholo Nieto, Clem Salazar, Val Baraquio and Rommel Calungcagin inspired their teammates with 775, 745, 727 and 696 four-game series. Straight bowlers Eckart Gayeta and Arnel Bernabe had 386 and 352.

SABB grabbed the fourth game even with zero handicap at 80-0 win points. Class A bowlers Arnold Jesena and Mohammed Abu Al-Saud had matching cads of 225, while Jaffer Al Kathiri and captain Ahmed Qarqoush tallied 183 and 182.

Rookie Jonathan Avenido led SAIB to a high score of 317 points as bye team this week. He rolled a series of 818 with veteran Joey Salem on 733. Edwin Fontiveros and captain Eddison Austria contributed 549 and 547, while Gil Catulay, Karl Octavo and Michael Marasigan added 357, 308 and 288.

Lucky number Week 13 saw Alinma Aspire dominate the games to hammer SAIB 427-0. In winning its fourth team award Aspire has successfully grabbed the top spot from SABB, who held No. 1 since Week 6,

Riyad Bank is slowly closing the gap on the top three teams as its crushed erstwhile leader SABB 371-290. Southpaw Arnold Jesena took home Bowler of the Week title for the second time on 847 four-game.

In other matches, BSF of Jun Bantug edged Alinma United as they split the score 267-265 while Saudi Hollandi Bank recorded a perfect four-game win (290 points) as the bye team.

The tournament is played Monday nights at Universal Bowling Center (UBC) and is sponsored by all participating banks.
