JEDDAH: Led by Mangyan, Almira Carpet took Flexpack’s best blows and came out on top 73-67 in the 2012 Perfetto Basketball Tournament organized by Industrial Sports Association (ISA) at the Industrial City Dawah Office (ICDO) court in Industrial City Phase I on the outskirts of Jeddah.

Mangyan scored 19 points using his dare devil moves to elude all his defenders especially during their early breakaway in the first half.

Mangyan went on to grab Best Player of the game honors. He enjoyed support from three teammates who really worked hard to help Almira: Mayor scored 8 crucial points in the final quarter and had a total of 18 points while Pacho and Faustino combined for 25 second half points.

Rada and Abrot led Flexpack in vain with a combined 27 points.

Trailing for most of the game Sesab took the measure of Jamjoom 93-87 in a pulsating overtime game.

Archie was impressive in the opening tipoff but in the second quarter, Jamjoom shut him down him and gave up only two points.

Bimbo maintained his composure in the game hit 24 points including 9 points in the third canto for Sesab which grabbed the lead 48-45 before the third quarter ended.

Archie made an adjustment in the fourth priod shooting from mid-range while Bimbo was still in scoring mode until the final minutes of overtime period where Sesab took control.

Veteran player Barry Nader ignited Luna I in the final quarter and to an 81-65 victory victory over AGM .

Nader scored 9 points in the first quarter alone and added 5 in the second but AGM played tremendous defense on him to become scoreless in the third quarter.

Millar Daham helped him with 14 points along with two threes and Tandoc added 12 for Luna I.

AGM rallied in the final canto with Dragon scoring 15 points and Atienza and Flores each making 11 but Nader and Nemenzo took over in the final four minutes with back-to-back baskets from beyond the arc and a couple of mid-range jumpers.

FMG trounced over struggling Nepro 80-73 and chosen best player was Valles who scored 12 points including his big three-point shot and a steal with less than a minute remaining in the game.

In a battle of the best teams, Gatorade thwarted Supreme 81-68 in a highly physical game. Jeremy Payawan was the Best Player of the game with 15 points.
