American Garden ended its long silence, winning its third Team of the Week award on perfect 28 points during the 12th session in the OFBC Friday Morning League 5+1 Season 3 at the Ice Land Bowling Center here.

In returning to center stage American Garden shut out Cyclone Star 20-0 with an overall output at 2,723 that it the top rank points of 8. Cyclone Star’s output of 2,473 was good for only 4 points.

League-leading Taurus settled for second best of the week on 27 points despite being pitted against the bye team for an automatic 20 match points, as its total pinfalls of 2,660 could only give the team 7 rank points.

The previous week honoree Velocity Strikers ended the session on 22 points after beating D’ Luf’s Strikers 16-4 on total pinfalls of 2,527-2,458 and rank points of 6-3.

Elsewhere, D’ RJ’s Cardinals brought down The Pinbusters 16-4 on total pinfalls of 2,494-2,431, rank points of 5-2 and totals of 21-6.

It was a perfect double for American Garden courtesy of Lexter Atienza who shot the high series of 635 to become the men’s Bowler of the Week.

Fedelyn Bustinera of Taurus was the ladies Bowler of the Week on 583.

Atienza shot scratch games of 164, 184 and 209 to pace teammates Christine Stone 545, Shirley Sagmit 524 and Benjie Espinosa 463. Archie Alcantara added 186-165 and team captain Bob Stone had 157.

Jhoon Caisip and Edwin Ronquillo backed up Fedelyn at Taurus with rounds of 562 and 532 that went with the two games contributions of 149-134 from Gil Catral, 138-135 from Jun Pamintuan and 142-135 from Regino Mendoza.

Vic Gonzales showed the way at Velocity on 603 followed by Carms Lim 498 and Delia Javing 477. Skipper Toto Lim shared two games of 164-127, Jerry “Ka Imo” Carredo had 118-130 and Jojo Esperanzate made 145-169.

The duo of Yeth Siohan Achai and Conrad Baltazar was at the helm of Cardinals on 521 and 513. Richard Junio tossed in 499, Rey SErrabi 125-128 and Hazel Jane Junio 108 to round out the scoring.
