Stung by a shock defeat from D’ Luf’s Strikers the previous week, American Garden rebounded in style to win the Team of the Week on perfect 28 points for the second straight time during the fourth session in the OFBC Friday Morning League 5+1 Season 3 at the Ice Land Bowling Center here.

After being restricted to a mere 3 points in its last outing, American Garden gained the maximum possible points by blanking The Pinbusters 20-0 on total pinfalls of 2,632-2,437 and rank points of 8 and 4.

Taurus and D’ RJ’s Cardinals, tied for No. 1 at the start of the day, went their separate ways at the end of Week 4.

Taurus finished on 27 points having blasted Cyclone Star to smithereens 20-0 on total pinfalls of 2,618-2,403, and rank points of 7-3.

The Cardinals, on the other hand, could only show 9 points as they were on the short end of a 16-4 verdict vs. Luf’s which emerged the third-best on the day behind American and Taurus on 22 points in a tie with Velocity Strikers.

The contrasting results left Taurus still at No. 1 and Cardinals sliding to fifth place in the team standings.

Velocity drew the bye team for an automatic match points of 20 and total pinfalls of 2,343.

Jhun Ejanda of Pinbusters and Taurus’s Minda Guevarra won the individual race for men’s and ladies Bowler of the Week on 595 and 533 respectively.

Louie Pasia on 427 headed a trio to roll full games for Garden with Lexter Atienza on 384 and Tom Langa on 376. With two games each were Christine Stone 111-167, Shirley Sagmit 158-163 and Benjie Espinosa 166-142.

Edwin Ronquillo and Hadi Paheco complemented Guevarra at Taurus with rounds of 558 and 538, while Regino Mendoza added 502, Ric Nangel 127-139 and Gil Cabral 155.

Velocity Strikers had skipper Toto Lim showing the way on 499 followed by his daughter Carms Lim 496, Jojo Esperanzate 468 and Rudy Valenzuela 435.

Cromwel Marco, Cesar Pagtalunan and Farida de Guzman were the leading scorers at Luf’s on 564, 563 and 518 in that order.
