Arabian Homes typically rose from the ashes after being buried at 2-1 and a 7 point margin at the end of the third set. But as luck would have it, Tropapips defaulted their fourth set to enable Arabian Homes to tie at 2-2 and be declared winner via points 22-21 in their category C encounter.

In another category C match, Reem Riviera Resort-Uricane again showed their might as previous champions when they blanked Garden City 4-0 while in the LMX category DP World left no stone unturned as it pounded the opposition set by set to win the match against a stunned Tigers 4-0 as teams went into overdrive trying to book places to the next round in the 4th ALBAIK Team Tennis Challenge 2012 at the Hotel Al Bilad courts.

Arabian Homes started strong with Boyet Zozobrado-Jess Norte beating Dean Medrano-Mustafa Mohamed 8-5 in the first set. But Tropapips took control of the next two sets, with Joe Dadios-Joe Aquino winning over Fred Lacap-Larry Montoya 8-1 in the second set and Cris-Rene Reyes controlling the third set with an 8-5 win against Hermie Bue-Zaldy Cardona to put Tropapips way ahead at 2-1 and a lead of 7 points. But time ran out for Nol Tumolva-Alvin Mendoza to show up on court and was declared default. An automatic 8-0 score was awarded to Atoy Sumunod-Joel Malala, enough to tie the match at 2-2 and post a 1-point overall lead handing victory to Arabian Homes.

Reem Riviera Resort-Uricane C flexed their muscles to produce a flawless 4-0 victory against Garden City. Having a lucky no-show default break in the fist set Ricky Salazar-Ronald Mercado got an 8-0 win. Cats Catalan-Nelson Sta. Clara then scored 8-2 against Lito De Guzman-Edwin Chu in the second set. In the third set, Ronnie Organo-Joe Espiritu found some resistance from Arlene De Venecia-Arnel Cruzate but managed to win by 8-4. Fourth set was an 8-2 win for Walid Batestil-Boy Castillo over Brendo Carpio-Raffy Fuentes to complete a 4-0 sweep of the match.

In posting their second win in two outings, DP World LMX stepped their game one notch higher this time as they blanked Tigers in their match earlier this week. Starting the streak were Faiz Amil-Allan Bergoza winning the fist set against Dr. Mohammad Kurdi-Noel Ugalde 8-4. In the second set, Conrad Matias-Orlee Reyes had to dig deep into their arsenal of shots before they were able to dispose of Adnan Baker-Mazen Madani at 8-5.

Allan Basa-Toto Jamorol controlled the third set with a lopsided 8-2 win over Cesar Batinga-Joel Orapa that sealed the victory for DPWorld at 3-0 with still a set to be played. In the fourth set Joel Chan-Dante de Claro was awarded an 8-0 win as the Tigers had a no-show player to enable DP World to complete the 4-0 sweep which is expected to make their sponsor Ahmed Al-Amoudi, GM of DP World Jeddah, happy.
