JEDDAH: ARM scored a thrilling eight-run win over Desert Warriors in the 8th week of the Ace Travel Premier Division League, organized by the Jeddah Cricket Association.

In the other matches of the same division, Mazco routed Micro Engineering by 7 wickets and Amir’s 131 steered Tamer to a eight-wicket win over Natco.

ARM were bowled out for 178 runs after they won the toss and elected to bat. Tabraiz (28), Najamuddin (20), Abdul Raheem (32) and Pervaiz Khan 28 runs were the main contributors.

Khalid 2 for 42, Abdul Quddus 2 for 24 and Alam 2 for 34 were the main wicket takers.

In reply Desert Warriors started well but later lost wickets at regular intervals and folded at 170 runs.

Khalid (40), Waseem (41), Junaid (31) and Abdul Quddus (28) led the run chase.

ARM skipper Najamuddin led his team to victory with figures of 4 for 21.

Reel & Rom made short work of Jeddah Shaheen by 70 runs, Jamoom Fighters routed KAIA by 164 runs while Pak Young eased past Al-Ghudaid by 25 runs during 8th week matches of the morning league.

In the Afternoon League, ICAD breezed past Old Students Cricketers by 55 runs, Peeran-XI got the better of Saudi German Hospital by 3 wickets and Peeran Warriors edged past Munch Bakery by 7 runs.

The highlight of this league was, Abdul Rahman Khalil, a Saudi national, the most successful bowler for Old Students who bagged 2 for 42 with his medium pacers.
