Promising Erwin Atienza powered Saudi Oger to a Best Team of the Week and Best Bowler of the Week double during the Oct. 4 matches in the Al Rabie-IBG Friday Afternoon Bowling League 3rd Conference at the Universal Bowling Center (UBC).

Al Rabie Saudi Food Industries Co. Ltd. sponsored the tournament with support from Thales represented by its official Nelson de Vera under the auspices of Itqan Bowlers Group through IBG Lead Advocate Ian Choco.

Saudi-Oger behind the heroics of the week’s best bowler Atienza produced 24 points and total team output of 4,359 points to clobber Dabarkads who produced 15 points and total team output of 3,998.

Atienza shot the high series of 970 at the helm an Oger team that had Joselito Santillan on 875, Irene Aril 859, Jeffrey Sobreviga 856 and Mario Cantina 799.

Charlie Cheng scored 828 to lead in Dabarkads and coming in next to him is the duo of Mario “Helipad” Rivera and Obet Miranda who rolled separate series of 796 and 795. Glenn Mar dela Cruz had 785 and Ruel Pingol 620.

League leader SACO walloped Thales 22-18 thanks mainly to Fernie Ballano (848) and Joel Batolina (820). Buddy Balisi together and George Sto. Domingo added 482 and 434 in two games as did Ferdie dela Rosa on 402 points and Jun Sebastian on 395.

Leading scorers in Thales were Andro Tismo 840 , Erwin Nacario 839 and Celis Viloria 822 with Jau Urbano on 746. Itqan Tornado trounced My Girl 22-7 as Jojie Manalansan and Reynald Medina rolled robust series of 848 and 825. Ruben Babasa had 784 while Butch Mateo and Belle Sabico contributed 746 and 726.

Roll and Bowl dismantled Itqan Tenpin Wizards , 22-11. Sparkling in Roll and Bowl were Jove Marano (886), Ernie Tulang (826), durable Fred Dioquino (807) and Butch Espinosa (718).

Top scoring in Itqan Tenpin Wizards was Fathi Abdulaziz with 871 points, followed by Thong Asuncion (814) Doy del Moral (790), Ric Singson (750) and Fareed Aquino (682).
