Host team Bowling City notched a Team of the Week treble with another remarkable performance during the 17th session in the OSN-FTBJ 49th Open Conference bowling tournament at the Bowling City here.

The hosts returned the top tally of 41 points, edging out MC Hammer and Habagat which both finished strong on 40 and 39 points respectively.

Bank AlJazira Fawri compiled 33 points in fourth place on the night with Red Dragons three back on 30 followed by Taurus-Amigos 29, AFM-Moe 25 and Sky Freight-OSN 24 points.

Romblon Marvels and Kabalen brought up the rear on 23 and 16.

To Danny Bautista of AFM-Moe went the individual Bowler of the Week award after he fired the high series of 707 on scratch games of 248, 257 and 202.

Bowling City’s consistency won the day over first game winner MC Hammer and Habagat, which took the last two games, although both teams had been hobbled by widly fluctuating fortunes.

Maji Aslani was the most consistent among the Bowling City players shooting 218, 255 and 232 on the way to the second-best score of 705.

Mohammed Al Amari added 636, Frank Afurong 611 and team captain Igna Salgado 573. Dan Ednave tossed in 186-184 and Gerry Mandanas made 188.

League-leading MC Hammer, which has the most number of team awards at 4 ahead of Bowling City and Kabalen, with 3 each, drew 667 from Rene Punzalan, 635 from Dylan Ilagan, 597 from Zaldy Bacero, 266-203 from Melvin Lising, 163-177 from Jhun Estefano and 223-219 from Shams Mustafa.

Over at Habagat, the duo of Rommel Cacampang and Jun De Dios led the way on 662 and 608. Leo Edejer made 590 while with two games each were Edris Mangoda 195-223, George Mangaliman 178-225 and Manny Tibay 159-190.

Fawri had Mikee Protacio and Jowet Carrion at the helm on 662 and 632 that went with Randy Mata completing the leading three scorers on 618. Ariel Urquia contributed 595, while the remaining three games were shared by Luis Luna 149-196 and Lorenz Santos 166.
