Bulacan Knight pulled the rug from under the usual suspects to claim a Team of the Week and Bowler of the Week double during the 14th session in the Thursday League 11th Season for Sarawat Superstores Cup at the Bowling City in Sultana Center.

Captained by Jeff San Pedro, Bulacan Knight returned the top tally of 33 points in a surprising performance by an underdog in the five-man team Thursday night league event.

Cesar Pagtalunan doubled the joy for the Bulakeños when he clinched the Bowler of the Week award after shooting the high series of 649 on lines of 203, 184 and 199.

Pindot, another team in the lower half of the standings, finished next to Bulacan at second place on 29 followed by league leader Sarawat Superstores 25, Orient Watch 21 and D’ Engineers 19. Habagat compiled 17.5 points while D’ Barkads, Bowling City and Fineboyz Rhinos filled the last three places on 15, 14.5 and 6 points in that order.

Ric Tibayan and Mao Orolfo backed up Pagtalunan with rounds of 572 and 554. Chipping in with two games each were Andy Yumena 175-233, Atoi Cruz 193-200 and Carlos Consantino 158-169.

Three players gave Pindot a big lift in Dylan Ilagan 631, Bonnie Garcia 603 and Jack Jarin 596. Ally Bin contributed two games of 211-164 as did Phepz Niere 174-149 and Tommy Kamal 159-142.

Ed Viray was the leading scorer at Sarawat on 617 followed by Gerry Mananas 595 and Igna Salgado. With two games each were Paolo Allego 164-175, Mohd. Amri 164-214 and Alex Flora 147-191.

Orient Watch’s Sami Al Qarni was among those to top the 600 series mark on 639. Jay Bengco added 558 and Elo Manalo 534 for Orient Watch which drew piece meal contributions of 169-173 from Danny Bautista, 173-181 from Edwin Ronquillo and 161-171 from Jawett Carion.

Richard Junio and Tom Langa led D’ Engineers on 611 and 607.
