JEDDAH: Casadores-GBI TBBGI delivered a strong performance and outraced everyone else for Team of the Week honors during the 6th session in the OFBC Friday Morning League 5+1 Season 5 bowling tournament at the Iceland Bowling Center.

Casadores came within 2 points shy of the perfect 60 in compiling the top tally of 58 points, as it stayed hot on the heels of league leader Rotto Taurus 1, which had the day’s second best total of 53 points.

Rock & Roll pooled 50 points at third place on the day followed by D’ Luf’s Strikers 47.5, Terri-Bowls 42.5, Taurus-Reinforced 39 and defending champion Cyclone 37.

Returning RTJ Transient House compiled 33 and sponsor team Zikato Strikers had 30, but both teams did not home empty-handed after respectively claiming the ladies and men’s Bowler of the Week awards courtesy of Malou Nidoy and Arman Gamboa.

Baghaffar Medical Supplies missed the 30-point mark by a hair on 29 to be in 11th position for the session. Bangon Pilipinas was 11 points back on 18 with D’ Splitters on 16, Pinbusters 15, Tribo (Triskellion Bowlers 7 and Lucky Striker 5.

Save for the second game won by Rotto the session was all Casadores who won the first and third games and overall output at 2,719.

Leading the Casadores charge was the duo of Cesar Sacramed and Rudy Catampatan who drilled 602 and 555 with Ric Tibayan on 520 and Vivian Sacramed on 467. Christopher Sayson added 156-176 and Mikee Protacio had 177.

Lito Zamudio and Raul delos Reyes carried much of the load for Rotto on 550 and 539, while the two others to complete the series namely Olie Jacinto and Hyeth Achai tallied 509 and 503. Ramon Fabro and Nestor Casalma shared the remaining three games on 177-176 and 161.

Rock & Roll drew solid games from Osman de Guzman 540 and Hadi Pacheo 512 while getting two games contribution each from Tito Cruz 150-165, Gil Cabral 155-168 and Lito delos Reyes 179-166.

For Luf’s Alexander Duma and Cesar Pagtalunan enjoyed strong displays to shoot 607 and 592 that went with the 463 by Farida de Guzman and 433 by Danny Atubang.

In winning her second Bowler of the Week plum Malou rolled 580 at the helm of the RTJ Transient House that also drew 511 from Conrad Baltazar, 479 from Ed Cordova and 429 from Joel Nidoy.

Zikato Strikers’ Gamboa fired the high series of 629 to become the men’s division individual awardee.

Zikato Construction Co. through operations manager Albert Zuniga is the major sponsor of this five-man team league event.
