JEDDAH: Indian schools in Kingdom have started preparations for basketball championship to be organized in India.

CBSE schools in Kingdom have launched zonal tournaments to select players for prestigious champion of Indian expat students.

The International Indian School Jeddah has conducted interschool basketball zonal tournament for western province in Kingdom from where CBSE schools from the region participated.

The International Indian School Jeddah’s basketball team scored an emphatic 83-23 victory over Al Wurood International school in the inter-school CBSE cluster tournament for 2014-15 organized by IISJ.

The IISJ performance was solid all game long. Captain Mohammed Ahmed enjoyed an outstanding performance throughout the game. Vice captain Haseeb and Faizan likewise contributed to the victory.

Mohammed Ameeruddin, the coach of team, said that his team is preparing for the Cluster Meet 2014 – 15 of Kingdom and hopes to participate in next tournament in India.

The team members are captain Mohammed Ahmed, vice captain Abdul Haseeb, Faizan Riaz, jermy tom Jacob, Mohammed Ali, Furqan Mehdi, Alvin Thomas, Shahnawaz Yusuf, Raunak Khar, Faizan Ali khan, Mohammed Tauseef, Bashshar Khalid and Raheem Khan and coach Mohammed Ameeruddin.
