RIYADH: Dirab Golf & Country Club hosts the first tournament of February when the 4th Annual CCOR (Canadian Community of Riyadh) Open Golf Tournament 2016 takes place this weekend in hopefully improved weather conditions in light of the cold snap to envelope Riyadh and central region.

The event, one of the team competitions to become a permanent fixture at the club, will have two shotgun starts, Thursday and Friday, at 12:30 p.m. and 8 a.m. respectively. This means the 130 players who registered so far will have two options which tee times to use.

All participants in the four-ball Texas Scramble format competition will receive good bag which contains FJ duffel bag, gloves, golf towel, and a sleeve of Titleist ProVI golf balls. In addition to the major prizes, there will be skill prizes for men’s and ladies longest drive and closest to the pin.

The team of Bouchaib El Jadiani, Majed Sorour, Taymour Alireza and Thomas McDonald won the 2015 edition of the tournament which enjoys strong support from the sponsors and players.
