The second Riyadh Triathletes event of the season was Biathlon No. 2, a 400m swim and 4km run competition.

Calm yet hot conditions at the Riyadh Village Compound saw an excellent venue with a long pool and flat run course. Another large field of 104 athletes took part which included 17 junior participants completing various distances up to the full event.

Reigning club champion Ken Heney stormed to almost a 2 minute winning margin for his last Riyadh Triathletes event prior to leaving Kingdom for the bright lights of Dubai. Over the past two years Ken has not only been winning most events, but an integral part of the organizing team. RT wish to thank Ken for his input to the club and wish him all the best for the future.

Other category winners were; Wayne Hayes (Male vet), Anne Morrissey (Female Vet), Tennille Maclean (female junior), Mark Doherty (Male Master), Naomi Gordon (Female Open), Paul McParland (Male Senior), Vinnie Gillespie (Male Junior), Glenys Henry (Female Senior), Nathan Busek( junior distance). Of particular note was Tennille Maclean who not only won the female junior element but came 8th place over all the participants.
