Current Bowlers clinched a Team of the Week and men’s Bowler of the Week double during the fifth session in the Overseas Filipino Bowlers Club (OFBC) Friday Afternoon League First Season 2012 at IN-10-SO in Serafi Megamall here.

Team captain Bash Langa led Current Bowlers’ remarkable display, shooting te high series of 620 that gave him the men’s individual award.

When the dust settled, Current Bowlers owned the highest total of 29 points as they blanked the Youngsters 20-0 on total pinfalls of 2,266 and 2,106.

Current’s total on the day was just a point shy of the perfect score of 30 which FED & AAA established during the second week of this five-man team league event.

Cool Guys remained on top of the team standings after hauling in 26 points, the same total posted by FED & AAA, which elbowed out Makatifoods Pinbusters at third place when Makatifoods could only muster 5 points after going down in defeat against RJ Transient Houses 18-2 (2,212-2,100).

Cool Guys produced the day’s highest total pinfalls of 2,299 for 10 ranks points in beating PCG-Jeddah 16-4.

FED & AAA (Mga Waraynon ha Jeddah) brought down the previous week honoree Yanbu 4Ever 18-2 (2,250-2,099) while Lance & Thirdy whipped The Transferee 14-6 (2,108-2,053) in the other match.

Bidding to break into the top half of team standings RJ Transient finished with 19 points on the day while Lance and PCG followed on 19 and 11. The Transferee had 7 while Yanbu and Youngsters each had 4.

Margie Villasanta gave Jerry Carredo’s Youngsters some consolation when she bagged the ladies Bowler of the Week plum at 565 on lines of 159, 185 and 146.

Cesar Pagtalunan rolled 588 and Tom Langa had 532 to back up their team captain at Current, which also drew 150-145 from Robert Gamboa and 126-131 from Ross Isabiniano.

At Cool Guys it was Med Ramos that shot the leading score of 614 with skipper Jun De Dios and Salic Mudag matching cards of 553s and Eidris Mangodda hitting 191-163 and Sol Cuenca compiling 130 that counted.

Khalid Bustinera at 601 was the top man at FED with Ed Cordova on 585. Rudy Valenzuela added 182-184, Albert Abug had 121-158 and Fedelyn Bustinera119-148.

RJ Transient team captain Rudy Jamon missed the 600-series mark by 10 pins at 590. Hadi Pacheco and Jack Jarin tossed in 569 and 518 while the teams’ remaining three games were distributed between Ric Tibayan 148-188 and Malou Nidoy 124.
