JEDDAH: Cystal-Rock n Roll became the fourth different team to claim Team of the Week honors when it outbowled everyone else during the fourth week in the the FTBJ-ICBL 36th Conference at the Bowling City here.

Rock n Roll played steady bowling while other teams were up and down to compile the top tally of 44 points ahead of Sky Freight-OSN 43 and Saudia Ice Cream 42.5 points.

First week honoree Pinslashers were among the four to make 40 on the number to be in fourth place, while JP Gilas 2 tallied 36 points.

Ekis Reload, Patsamba and defending champion Hidada Ltd. finished the session on 29, 26 and 22 in that order, with the second Team of the Week Sagmit Dental Clinic on 21 points.

Sadafco, the previous week honoree, Zekiesha, D’ Barkads and United Doctors filled the last four places in the 13-team field on the day with totals of 20, 19.5, 18 and 4.

Aileen Miralbuna made it a Rock n Roll double when she clinched the ladies Bowler of the Week award on 706. Roger Daquioag of Pinslashers and Sky Freight’s Oca Bernabe shared the men’s BOW plum on 680.

Ruben Grino and Jay Bengco tossed in 614 and 593 to support Miralbuna at Rock n Roll captained by Jayson Castillo. Eloisa Fernandez shared 624 from the distaff side while Jess Pineda contributed 195-192 and Rene Ocampo had 201.

Sky Freight won the second game only to get pipped at the post by the eventual Team of the Week winners. Besides Bernabe Sky Freight banked on contributions from Atoi Cruz 654, Yoly Santos 621, Goying Salazar 234-255 and James Galvan 191.

League-leading Saudia Ice Cream had the trio of Marie Gumpal, Frank Afurong and Marissa Resano at the helm on 650, 620 and 597. Each sharing two games were skipper Igna Salgado 194-258, Maji Aslani 234-237 and Gerry Mandanas 189-206.

Helping Daquioag advance the cause at Pinslashers were Jimmy Mandigiado 627, Rommel Cagampang 247-222, Rommel Agbayani 201 and the ladies pair of Hanna Reyes and Matet Cavite who drilled 556 and 555 respectively.

At Ekis Reload Zaldy Bacero led the way with a three-game series of 627 followed by Malu Gimie 590 and Alma Bacero 583. George Mangaliman added two games, 215-169, as did Emil Payongahyong 185-170 and Fadi Al Haddad 205-191.

The husband-and-wife team of Nap Patayan and Susan Patayan took charge at Patsamba with rounds of 640 and 581 to go with the 549 by Serge Rivera, 520 by Sharmaine Patayan, 193-187 by Archie Santos and 225 by Lito Villanca.
