JEDDAH: Al Falah International School DPS made history when it won the interschool championship for the second time organized by World Taekwondo Federation Korea. It received the federation’s Black Belt, certificate and trophies at the awards ceremony.

The guests of honor were Basim Zai Nadwi, Academic Director Humeira Naseem, Mumtaz Ali Khan and Abdul Qayyum, both holders of the Black Belt title.

Eighteen students competed for the Black Belt grading test under the guidance of Abdul Rahman Abdul Sattar (WTF Black Belt), chief instructor and examiner, and Abdulla Farooqi (WTF Black Belt) instructor and examiner.

Poomsea, kicks, nanchaku, stick and tile breaking, fight, self-defense were part of the program.

Participants included Hala International School’s Abdul Jalil Munaf Khan and Ahmed Mohamed Elsadiq Osman; and

Al-Falah DPS’ Abdullah Abdul Rahman, Abdul Sattar Abdul Rahman, Ayesha A.R Ahmed, Mohammed Sahil Ali Khan Ansari, Farooque Yusuf Pansari, Fiza Ahmed. Mohammed Anas Azam, Aaqil Faheem Hisham, Ayush Praharj, Junaid Naeemullah Khan, M. Shyam Kannan and Abdullah Mumtaz Khan.

Also among participants were Al Waha International School’s Muhammed Abdullah Mamoon and Mamoon Ahmed Mirza, and Al Wadi International School’s Salwa Abdul Qayyum.
