JEDDAH: After suspension of the games, the FBA (Filipino Basketball Association) 37th Season resumed tournament play for the 14th week at the Sheraton Jeddah Hotel Sport Complex basketball court here.

Six games were played with Durat Al Arous bouncing back from its overtime defeat by Avengers and qualifying for the semifinals with a decisive 95-75 victory over Dbarkadz Pilipinas in Category C game while KIA starring Best Player Jay Liam, Rey Razon and Mark Lagria brought down Nesma 91-79 in the nightcap Friday.

It was the sixth victory against 1 loss for Durat while Dbarkadz absorbed their fourth defeat in five games.

The 14th week kicked off Thursday with Nexus beating Takbo Limited 71-61 in D3 category in the first game where Berido with 18 points was named Best Player of the game. Tumbali and Trejano backed up Berido with 14 and 10 points, while for the losing team Pagunsan tallied 19 markers, Cube had 16 and Coronado made 12 points.

AVK Wild Boys won a big game against Avengers 94-82 in another Category C match Thursday where the trio of Best Player Vallejo, Espiritu and Paul Taguba scored 28, 22 and 13 points. Leading Avengers in a losing cause were Razon 19, Nemitz Dangao 18 and Geniza 11.

With the win, AVK boosted its record to 3-2 while Avengers went down to their first loss in five games.

In another D-3 game, King Fahad Hospital crushed Sharbatly 70-52, as the veteran guard Junsay grabbed Best Player honors with 16 points, while Payawan and Tipon each had 13 points. Sharbatly had Ordonio with 11 points, Ali 10 and Cuajotor 9.

Elsewhere, Warriors trounced Hanco Olive 61-54 and Atlas Copco whipped Aramex 73-64 in a pair of D2 games Friday.

Yumena scored 16 points in charge of Warriors to become the Best Player which was also awarded to Dorado in leading Atlas with 19 points.
