INDIANAPOLIS: Cody Parkey drilled a 36-yard field goal as time expired on Monday to lift the Philadelphia Eagles to a 30-27 come-from-behind NFL victory over the Indianapolis Colts.

Darren Sproles starred for the Eagles, catching seven passes for 152 yards and running for 26 yards and a touchdown as Philadelphia improved to 2-0 in the young season with their second straight second-half rally.

“He’s just a special player,” Eagles coach Chip Kelly said of Sproles. “He came through and came up huge for us tonight.”

Eagles quarterback Nick Foles completed 21 of 37 pass attempts for 331 yards and one touchdown with one interception.

LeSean McCoy added a touchdown on the ground for the Eagles, who won in Indianapolis for the first time since 1993.

Colts quarterback Andrew Luck was 20-for-34 for 172 yards with three touchdowns. But he also threw a costly fourth quarter interception and the Colts fell to 0-2.

The Colts led by seven and were within field-goal range late in the fourth quarter when Luck’s pass intended for T.Y. Hilton was intercepted by Eagles safety Malcolm Jenkins.

Philadelphia, who had trailed 17-6 at halftime, needed five plays to tie the game, as Sproles took a short pass 51 yards in a drive capped by Jeremy Laclin’s touchdown catch.

Parkey took the field to attempt a game-winning field goal with three seconds remaining, the second time in as many weeks Kelly called on him to seal a comeback victory.

Parkey’s initial 36-yard field goal attempt was good, but Philadelphia’s celebration was cut short when officials awarded Indianapolis a timeout they said the Colts had called before Parkey’s kick.

Parkey lined up again and again his effort was good.

“We’re going to play a full 60 minutes — and it took the full 60 today,” Kelly said.

Griffin suffers dislocated ankle

The Washington Redskins placed Robert Griffin III on the injured list after the star quarterback suffered a dislocated ankle over the weekend, coach Jay Gruden said Monday.

The Redskins also announced that wide receiver DeSean Jackson is day to day with a sprained shoulder.

Griffin suffered a dislocated left ankle during the first quarter of Sunday’s game against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Gruden said the club had initially feared they could lose Griffin for the remainder of the season before X-rays showed it was a dislocation and not a fracture.

“It’s not a fracture and we’ll put a cast on it and see how it goes from there,” said Gruden.

Gruden said he does not have a timeline for Griffin’s return, but indicated that it could be some time this season.

Jackson, meanwhile, suffered an AC joint sprain in his left shoulder while trying to grab a pass from Griffin’s replacement, Kirk Cousins, late in the first quarter.

Jackson immediately clutched his left shoulder and left the field under his own power.

The Redskins played well under Cousins, cruising to a 41-10 win over the Jaguars.

Bears’ Tillman to miss rest of season

Chicago Bears cornerback Charles Tillman is out for the remainder of the National Football League season after rupturing his right triceps.

The 33-year-old suffered the injury in the third quarter of the 28-20 win over San Francisco on Sunday.

He finished with eight tackles in two starts this season, his 12th with the Bears.

In eight games last season, Tillman recorded 41 tackles and three interceptions. He ended the 2013 season with a similar torn triceps injury.

Originally selected by the Bears in the second round of the 2003 entry draft, Tillman has 957 tackles, 42 forced fumbles and three sacks in 156 career games.
