TORONTO, Canada: Tyreke Evans outduelled three defenders to sink the game-winning layup with one second left as the New Orleans Pelicans rallied in the fourth quarter to beat the Toronto Raptors 95-93.

Evans attracted the attention of a trio of Raptors but still managed to get his sweeping layup to fall from in close in front of a crowd of 19,800 at the Air Canada Center on Sunday.

Despite playing without injured stars Anthony Davis and Jrue Holiday, the Pelicans looked to Evans and reserve center Alexis Ajinca, who tallied 26 and 22 points.

Toronto guard DeMar DeRozan missed a fadeaway three-point attempt at the buzzer.

Evans also had five rebounds and five assists, while Ajinca came off the bench to shoot 10-of-13 from the floor in 34 minutes of playing time.

Eric Gordon scored 14 points for the Pelicans, who improved to 2-2 on their five-game road trip.

DeRozan, who was playing in his third game since returning from a groin injury, paced the Raptor attack with 22 points. Lou Williams scored 17 points and Greivis Vasquez added 16 and nine assists, as Toronto lost for the seventh time in their last nine contests.

The Pelicans led by 14 at the half but trailed 71-64 heading into the final quarter as Toronto scored the final six points of the third.

SPURS 89, JAZZ 69: In San Antonio, Tiago Splitter scored 14 points, and Kawhi Leonard had 12 points and nine rebounds as San Antonio never trailed while holding Utah to a season-low scoring total.

Tim Duncan added 11 points in 23 minutes for San Antonio, which has won three straight — including the last two with Leonard back in the lineup.

Rudy Gobert had 13 points and a season-high 18 rebounds and Gordon Hayward added 10 points for Utah. The Jazz shot 33 percent while also setting season lows in points by a San Antonio opponent for the game and in the first half (27).

Utah beat San Antonio 100-96 on Dec. 9 in a game that Leonard initially injured his right hand, suffering a small tear to a ligament while bracing his fall following a failed dunk attempt.

THUNDER 127, MAGIC 99: In Orlando, Florida, Kevin Durant had 21 points, 11 rebounds and eight assists as Oklahoma City ran past Orlando.

Russell Westbrook finished with 17 points and six assists. Serge Ibaka and Dion Waiters each added 16 points.

The Thunder never trailed, and led by as many as 38 on their way to snapping a four-game road losing streak. They also shot 57 percent in the first of five road games in nine nights.

Victor Oladipo led Orlando with 23 points. Elfrid Payton added 19 points and eight assists.

The Magic gave up a franchise-record 79 first-half points on their way dropping their second straight game. The Thunder were also the sixth consecutive opponent to score 100 or more points against them.
