JEDDAH: With four players exceeding 600 leading to team average of 1203 per set, Petromin Express Hawk beat Royal Strikers Lion at the end of the 10th session in the FEDBG Friday Morning Bowling League 12th Conference at the Bowling City here.

Lifting Hawk past Lion were Jerry Carredo, Rolly Vistal, Nilo Llanera and Imelda Sayago who rolled 632, 610, 608 and 604 in that order.

With team captain Paolo Allego and Jeff San Pedro backing up on 590 and 565, Petromin Express routed Royal Strikers on sets of 1241-1114, 1143-1130 and 1225-1222 in a one-sided match of 3609-3466. Instrumental for Hawk’s victory were the scratch games of Carredo at 211, Allego at 203 and Vistal at 212 and 208.

Lion’s skipper Jun Estefano and Ed Sardiña could only respond with 205-211 and 212. Petromin Express is now on the magic five with 204 computed points after a perfect 33 points.

Fed Extreme looked formidable pooling 24 session points including 12 in the one-game victory against Ball Care that lifted it a notch to third with 211 computed points in the overall standings.

Mongoose actually had the advantage in game 1 with Team captain Emil Payongayong, Nards Hassan and Rod Lofamia respectively searing lanes with 226, 215 and 206 on BCT’s 1214-1188 thumping of Fed Extreme.

But team head Carlos Bustinera shot 244 to change the complexion of the match. With 214, 212 and 205 from Jowet Carreon, Farida de Guzman and Fedelyn Bustinera and the 392 from Bobby Baraquel and Jimmy Mandingiado, Fed Extreme surged ahead at 2455-2308 on a 1267-1104.

Bustinera scorched the lanes once more with 263 but Ball Care salvaged the last game at 1156-1104 with Payongayong again leading with 216 and Hassan on 208. But this victory was good only for 8 points with Fed Extreme on 12 in final tallies of 3559-3464.

Bustinera topped Fed Extreme scoreboard and emerged Bowler of the Week with 698.

Carreon and de Guzman contributed identical 622 while Fedelyn, Baraquel and Mandingiado shared the rest of their aggregate.

Mongoose had Payongayong on 599, Hassan 601, Eloisa Fernandez 596 and Lofamia 590. Sharing honors with Bustinera was Aileen Miralbuna who won the ladies Bowler of the Week plum with 636 for Pin Slasher beaten 11-9 (3512-3502) by Shawly Bowlers. Joel Quiboy led Shawly at 640 while and Andy David made 620.

X-Alley cleaned 20 points as the unmatched team of the week, Ekis-3 kept the lead after a 16-4 win over Pin Rockers, Lance & 3rdy beat D’ Mountaineers 12-8 (3413-3412) and Micah’s Pride survived undermanned Fire Fox 16-4.
