Fineboyz Rhinos made sure they don’t bow out empty-handed after clinching the Team of the Week award during the 16th sesson in the Thursday League 11th Season for Sarawat Superstores Cup at the Bowling City in Sultana Center.

Languishing in the cellar, Fineboyz came up with the top tally of 30 points, edging out no less than league leader Sarawat Superstores, which finished 3 points adrift on 27.

Bowling City and Orient Watch tied on 26 points followed by D’ Barkads 22, Habagat 20 and D’ Engineers 15. Bulacan Knight and Pindot, which shared honors with Sarawat the previous week, brought up the rear on 9 and 5 points.

Sarawat managed to take half of the week’s honors courtesy of team captain Igna Salgado who snagged the Bowler of the Week plum after shooting the high series of 627 on lines of 226, 188 and 189.

Fineboyz topped off a consistent display by shooting the top overall output of 2,876. At the helm of Fineboyz were Rene Balangue, Bowler of the Week in the last session, and Simeon Dellosa who matched cards of 597s. Rod Lofamia added 588 and Mhel Llanes 497 to go with the 164-170 by Oliver Robles and 200 by Rommel Calingasan.

Alex Flora and Paolo Allego fired 548 and 543 in support of Salgado at Sarawat, while Gerry Mandanas had 199-162 and Bandar Al Dosarry 182.

The host team drew the leading scores of 566 and 561 from Cris Villavelez and Ruben Grino. Frank Afurong tallied 516. With two games each were Pancho Cuevas 197-213, Archie Santos 187-174 and Francis Guron 189-168.

Danny Bautista led Orient Watch on 615 with Sami Al Qarni on 599 and Jim Mandigiado on 529.

Over at D’ Barkads Bing Amolo and Romy Bunagan took charge with rounds of 576 and 560. Rey Beltran contributed 510 that went with two games each from Rudy Valenzuela 181-222, Leo Edejer 162-186 and Dan Ednave 180-162.
