RIYADH: Three straight weekends of tournament golf this month and one in December are on offer at Dirab Golf & Country Club on the outskirts of Riyadh.

Kicking off this busy one month on Saturday is the First Emirates NBD Open Golf Tournament. The event marks the partnership between the club and Emirates NBD, which is the latest in a line of corporate sponsors to use the golf platform in creating awareness and exposure for the company.

A full field of 120 players and 60 teams is expected to tee it up for the 8 a.m. shotgun start in the 18-hole two ball Texas scramble competition. There will be special hole-in-one prize for a lucky winner and many more prizes besides the ones for the tournament winners.

In releasing the DGCC schedule of tournaments General Manager Bouchaib El Jadiani said after Saturday’s NDB Open the 10th SABB Annual Golf Tournament takes place on Nov. 21 followed by the 2nd Annual Lufthansa GEC Open Nov. 27 and the Dec. 5 Xerox BFI Banking Finance Insurance Annual Trophy.
