RIYADH: Fonte Stars scored a comfortable 40-run win over Lahore Badshah to win the ten-over-a-side Al-Momin knockout cricket tournament, sponsored by Al-Momin International School and organized by the Riyadh Cricket Association.

Fonte batted first and put up a total of 126 runs. Waseem top-scored with 50 runs. Bilal Wani supported him with 42. Babar took 2 wickets.

In reply, Lahore Badshah went down tamely without a fight and managed to score 86 for 5. Shakeel bagged 3 wickets and Afaq got 2.

Man-of-the-Match: Waseem.

Earlier in first semifinal, Lahore Badshah made short work of King Faisal Specialist Hospital Blues by 10 wickets. KFSH Blues put up a score of 99 for 7. Waseem top-scored with 46 while Iftikhar added 26. Imran took 3 wickets. Lahore Badshah reached their target after 5.2 overs. Fahad and Babar stayed unbeaten on 57 and 29 respectively.

Man-of-the-Match: Fahad

In the second semifinal, Fonte Star downed Aisco by 7 wickets. Aisco posted 118. Amjad was the highest scorer with 36 runs. Shakeel took 3 wickets. Fonte Star reached the target after 8.3 overs. Bilal Wani smashed an unbeaten 72 of 28 balls. Waseem supported him with 22. Amjad grabbed 2 wickets.

Lahore Badshah 111 for 6: (Imran 34, Shahbaz 4 wkts) registered a victory over FAST CC 110 for 6: (Imtiyaz 31, Imran 4 wkts) by 4 wkts.

RCA President Tariq Javed was the chief guest. Others present included, Nadeem Babar, (Special representative of the patron in chief Prince General Dr. Abdulaziz bin Nasser), Abdul Kareem Khan, and other RCA executive committee members.
