RIYADH: After the Texas Scramble events, individual stroke play competition returns when the 9th Annual Fuchs Open Golf Tournament 2015 tees off Saturday at Dirab Golf & Country Club on the outskirts of Riyadh.

Despite the hot weather in the Saudi capital golfers of all skill levels are expected to tee it up in chase of handsome prizes courtesy of Fuchs whose enduring partnership with Dirab is just one year short of a decade.

With a 7 a.m. shotgun start the 18-hole tournament as usual will have three divisions for men and one division for ladies. Along with the major one there will be prizes for longest drive for men’s and ladies and closest to pin unisex.

All participants will receive a very nice gift pack which contains GNM golf shirt, caps and Titleist Pro V1 golf balls.

As the temperature rises in the coming weeks DGCC will mount tournaments at random until September when normal service resumes with the Saudi National Day event.
