JEDDAH: Gensoul Midget Black of coach Glenn Musngi beat White 56-53 in the PEAK –JBL Haj Exhibition Games at Al Baik court here in Khalidia District.

White Team looked headed to victory but a costly errors in the dying seconds gave Black Team a chance to recover and win the game with its never-say-die spirit. Michael Maddatu scored 23 points for the Black and was adjudged as PEAK Sodas Sports Best Player of the game while Adam Romualdo had 16 points for White.

This tournament is principally sponsored by PEAK Sodas Sports and Shoe Arena. Mandhoubiyah Islamic Propagation Office, Jeddah Dawah Center, Deepvision Advertising Company, Mousa Ignacio and Arab News are the co-sponsors.

Juniors Black of coach Elner Paner defeated Juniors White 65-63. White Team almost won the game but collapsed in the dying seconds as Black played good defense. White tried to equalize and extend the game to overtime but then missed the crucial inside play. King Acosta top-scored with 35 points for Black and was adjudged JBL Best Player of the game while Ahmad Alonto and Densen Dolloso scored 24 and 12 points for White Team.

Awarding of trophies after the game was spearheaded by the organizing committee with the assistance of Gensoul Office Headed by coach Sam Sabangan, Edwin Gonzales and Joel Silvestre and of course the untiring effort of coach Donald Dolloso.

In JBL games, Tropang Bakhs beat Leylati 104-79 for the last seat in the semifinal round for Group B. Tropang Bakhs played good offense in the whole game plus a tough defense in the final period halted the offensive plays of Leylati. Camina led Tropang Bakhs with 24 points and was adjudged PEAK Sodas Sports Best Player of the game while Hugo top-scored with 31 points for Leylati.

Desert Warriors defeated Gensoul 112-86 in the 40 and above division. Desert Warriors as usual displayed their patented team work to defuse the defense applied by Gensoul. Hermogines top-scored with 31 points for Desert Warriors and was adjudged as the JBL best player of the game while Nalus scored 24 points for Gensoul.
