JEDDAH: Honda will take on Gulf Steel will clash in the Premier Division final of the

Sikander Farooqui Memorial Twenty20 tournament organized by Eastern Province Cricket Association.

In the semifinals, Honda routed unbeaten PakSaudi by 181 runs while Gulf Steel got the better of Al Dossary Kanoo by 4 wickets.

The highlight of the day was a scintillating bowling performance by Khawar Abbas who bagged 8 for 7 including a hat trick.

Al Dossary Kanoo 131: (Karthik 25, Munawar 22; Wirasat 3 for 29, Bilal Khan 3 for 21) lost to Gulf Steel 132 off 16 overs: (Nadeem 56, Asif Mughal 37; Kashif Mehar 2 for 28) by 4 wkts.

First Division: Ben Delamah ADPCO 221: (Aqeel Azad 72, Ijaz 52; Ahsan took 3 for 29) beat SACCO 177 for 8: (Mannan 54, Syed Yaseen 27 not out; Mohammed Ijaz 3 for 20) by 44 runs.

Eastern Arabia 158: (Afwan 68, Imran 21) beat AlBawardi 148: (Parviz 51, Liyaqat Hussain 39; Sampath 3 wkts) by 10 runs.

Earlier in the quarterfinals Al Bawardi beat Friends XI by nine wickets. Excellent bowling spell by Sameen Khan and Parvez Khan claiming 3 wickets each helped AlBawardi to bundle out Friends XI for 102, Abrar Ahmed scored 27 runs. In reply Shajeeulla Khan (42 n.o) and Liyaqat Hussain (52 n.o) achieved the target in the 12th over.

In the other quarters, defending champion SATE Friends XI were knocked out from the tournament by Ben Delamah ADPCO. SATE Friends made 113 runs. Salmanuddin the lone contributor made 45 runs, Ali Rizwan and Kannan took three wickets each. In reply Ben Delamah ADPCO won by 10 wickets. Opening batsmen Aqeel Azad scored an unbeaten 51 and Asghar Altaf 53 not out to help their team reach their target after 8.3 overs.
