RIYADH: Team Habagat breezed past Pin Pals 22-7 in Week 15 of the Unified Filipino Tenpin Bowlers of Riyadh (UFTBR)-Etihad Airways Tuesday Bowling League at the Universal Bowling Center (UBC).

The win enabled Habagat to keep pace with league leaders while earning its second Team of the Week honors. Stephen Solomon led the team with a 4-game series of 906 series, with contributions from Noel Marquez (852), Steve Perez (837), Art Palustre (764) and Fathi Abdulaziz (747).

In other matches, Lane Cruiser upset SABB Advance (15 to 13), Mandirigma defeated Ayaw Na (14 to 11), Thrill Seekers upended league leader NBA (14 to 13), defending champion Kamahalan overwhelmed Pin Hitters (22 to 8), Dabarkads delivered another upset with a win over Unica (16 to 11) and Vinnell Arabia downed SACO Bolts (16 to 13).

Ronald Bautista still leads in the MVP race in Group 1 with an average of 218.75 followed by Arnold Jesena(217.0) and Andro Tismo (212.85). In the Group 2 MVP race, Fathi Abdulaziz maintained his leads with an average of 188.68 followed by Ryan Inigo (186.57) and Erwin Nacario (184.09).

First perfect game for Doy Del Moral

Meantime, Doy Del Moral, one of Riyadh’s rated bowlers, scored his first perfect 300 game in Week 5 of the newly started UFTBR Sunday League also at UBC. It was a record breaking performance for Del Moral who burned the lanes with a 4-game series of 1,072 averaging 268 per game, a feat which has never been done before in Riyadh bowling circuit. Del Moral is set to receive cash and special prizes for his perfect game and high-scoring achievements from the tournament organizers.
