Habagat flirted with the perfect total of 36 points as it clinched the Team of the Week award with the lead to boot during the fourth session in the Sarawat Superstores Thursday Bowling League 13th Season at the Bowling City in Sultanah Center.

Habagat missed a sweep of the points on offer, when Al Murjana intervened to claim the second game, and settled for 35 points. Habagat, however, had the last laugh after it wrested the lead from Murjana, which tallied 27 points right behind BCT-Hokbi Fashion 30.

The previous week honoree, Unilever Arabia, and Carling Sport Wear tied on 20 points with Magolia Ice Cream on 19 points.

RJ Tumbador, D’ Barkads and AL Striker filled the last three spots on 13, 8 and 8 points in that order.

Richard Antonio actually made it a Habagat double when he romped off with the Bowler of the Week award after shooting the high series of 687 on lines of 162, 257 and 226.

Jimmy Aragones also bowled big for Manny Tibay's Habagat team on 617 with Rommel Cagampang and Ver Jasa contributing solid rounds of 584 and 559. Ryan Conde tossed in two games of 169-157 and Geo Mangaliman added 265.

Languishing near the bottom of the team standings, BCT-Hokbi enjoyed an encouraging performance mainly because of the duo of Ding Dela Rosa and Nanding Siasoco, who drilled 612 and 587 to go with the 545 by Nezar Al Hamwi, 158-205 by Yasser Hokbi, 167-177 by Al Fa Mugawan and 244-159 by Rey Beltran.

Jojie Manalansan and Elo Manalo were Murjana’s main men on 640 and 620. The other scorers at Murjana were Ruel Santoc 539, Archie Santos 536, Mhon Laxamana 154-194 and Rene Ocampo 178.

Tom Langa missed 600 by a few pins at 597 while leading the way for Unilever that also drew 571 from Jun Pamintuan, 553 from Alex Flora, 540 from Jess Pineda and 511 from Reggie Mendoza.

Carling Sport Wear had the leading trio of Ed Butardo, Hadi Pacheco and Jeff San Pedro on 574, 565 and 559.
