JEDDAH: The Western Province Cricket Association will organize a one-day Hamid Rasheed Memorial Inter-City Mega Event Twenty20 cricket tournament in memory of the late Hamid Rasheed at the WPCA Eskan Grounds, Friday.

Hamid Rasheed, who passed away recently, was an official of the Pakistan International School Jeddah (English Section) and active member of the WPCA.

Four matches, involving all the eight teams, will be played in the morning session. The afternoon session will see the winner of match 1 take on the winner of match 4, while the winner of match 3 will face match 2 winner.

The runner-up teams will then play each, while two top teams in terms of points and net run-rate will be declared winners.

Special kits, displaying sponsors name, have been provided for this event. For the first time pink balls will be used in Saudi Arabia.

Prizes will be distributed in the form of gifts, cups and medals.

A match will also be played between Pakistan Journalist Forum (PJF) and Pakistan Consulate.

Teams: Riyadh Cricket League (2 teams) Madinha Cricket Association, JRCA from Jizan will be the out stations teams. WPCA Chairman XI, WPCA President XI, WPCA Vice President XI and WPCA Committee XI.
