JEDDAH: The ICD 4th Annual Football Tournament will kick off this week at Greenlawns ground on Kilo 5 near Jeddah.
This was announced on Sunday by Sulaiman Ali Al-Sultan, director, Corporate Support of ICD (Islamic Corporation for the Development of the Private Sector). He said the tournament is scheduled April 26 to May 9 with the full support of ICD CEO and General Manager Khaled Al-Aboodi.
Eight teams divided into Group A and Group B are entered in the tournament where matches will be played at the Islamic Development Bank Group headquarters.
Bracketed in Group A are Islamic Corporation for the Development of the Private Sector (ICD), Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), , Ewaan, Islaic Trade and Finance ( Ewan) and Islamic Trade and Finance Corporation (ITFC),
Group B comprises King Abdullah University Science and Technology (KAUST), Islamic Development Bank (IDB), International Islamic Relief Organization, Saudi Arabia (IIROSA) and Al-Rajhi Bank
After the group stage play, the top two teams from each group will advance to the semifinals. The crossover semifinal will send 1st Group A vs. 2nd Group B in the first game and 2nd Group A vs. 1st Group B in the second game. After three-day rest, the final will take place May 9.
