JEDDAH: Islamic Development Bank- Finance scored a comfortable seven-wicket win over Islamic Development Bank-CS in the first semifinal of the IDB Intra Bank Cricket tournament, sponsored by GBEST and organized by the Social and Cultural Forum (SOCOM) at the bank’s Green Lawn ground here.

Finance put on board 107 runs from their stipulated 12 overs, thanks to Shahzad’s unbeaten match winning innings of 41. Abdul Rouf Janjonia supported him with 28 runs. Syed Abdullah got 2 wickets for the bowling side.

In reply IDB-CS failed to reach their target and lost the match by 7 wickets. Imran (20), Farooq (16) and Mohd Shoib (15) were the only batsmen who put up some resistance. Finance’s Janjonia bagged 3 wickets and Azhar got 2.

Ahmed Tiktik, vice president of IDB group accompanied by Mohammed Abdallah Baghdadi (GBEST) visited the ground prior to the start of the match and wished the teams.
