JEDDAH: IKEA defeated BUPA 79-70 in the PEAK-JBL basketball tournament at Al Baik court here in Khalidia District here.

Both teams played organized basketball in the whole game. IKEA applied run-and-gun offense in the crucial minutes of the game as BUPA missed important baskets. Ahmed Penaranda top-scored with 25 points for IKEA and was adjudged as the PEAK Sodas Sports best player of the game while Ruben Del Rosario had 27 points for BUPA.

Magma Bloods of Coach Macarimban beat STC 100-48. Magma Bloods using its patented running game left STC flat-footed in the final quarter. STC started to feel exhausted in the second half. The youngest of 3 Macarimban brothers displayed steady snipping and scored 19 points for Magma Bloods and was adjudged JBL Best Player of the game while Perito collected 12 points for STC.

Manila Zago of Loue Ghazi defeated NRF 97-82. Manila Zago dominated the shaded area in the final quarter as NRF started to commit crucial errors. Navarro chipped in 26 points for Manila Zago and was adjudged as the PEAK Sodas Sports Best Player of the game while Ali and King Acosta scored 18 and 17 points respectively for NRF.

In Friday games, Blazers of Imet Villaueva beat Leylati 77-68. It was a ding-dong battle between the 2 ball clubs up to third quarter. Blazers in the resumption of fourth quarter played tough defense and Leylati committed back to back errors. Razon led the Blazers with 26 points and was adjudged as the JBL Best Player of the game while Ritual and Hugo scored 19 points apiece for Leylati.

Desert Warriors of Coach Nestor Capinpin defeated UDG 105-64 for their third straight win. Desert Warriors again showed teamwork to demolish UDG defense in the second half of the game. UDG lost steam and started to miss their targets. Zamora had 17 points for Desert Warriors and was adjudged as the PEAK Sodas Sports best player of the game while Burgos top-scored with 30 points for UDG.

RJW Jufalli Wed Group beat Manila Hotdogs 106-65. RJW Juffali Wed Group bounced back from its opening defeat and gave Manila Hotdogs their first loss in 2 outings. RJW running game was unstoppable in the first half as Manila Hotdogs big men came late for the game. Jameel Khobre scored game high 33 points for RJW Juffali Wed Group and was adjudged as the JBL Best Player of the game while Loue had 16 points for Manila Hotdogs.
