JEDDAH: Incredibowls reasserted their supremacy to emerge champion during the 3rd SGH Jeddah Staff Bowling Games last Friday at the Ice Land Bowling Center.

Incredibowls had won the first tournament among Saudi German Hospitals-Jeddah staff with Hot Shots winning the second staging of the event supported by the hospital’s Human Resources Department.

Friday, Incredibowls captained by Mari Gabat Mendoza played strongly in the second of the two games final and totaled 1,270 pinfalls (528-673) to win with plenty to spare over runner-up Lucky Strikers, who rolled 1,210 on games of 537-673.

The games were preceded by an opening ceremony in which SGH Jeddah COO Dr. Ezz Al Arab delivered the welcome address.

Under the tournament format the 12 participating teams represented by 144 players bowl three games eliminations with the top six teams to play a further two games in the final. Each team is allowed one guest player from SGH sister companies.

With Mendoza on the winning team were Carol Rio, Dan Garrett, Giselle Rojas, Marlon Ricamara, Marlon Peralta , Mark Roy Suyat and new staff bowler Rosemel Serapion.

Green Hawks took the third position on 1,160 (561-599) and Gutter Punks fourth on 1,129 (591-538). Leave No Pin Standing came in fifth followed by rookie team Bill Strikers, Phantom Striker, Pin Busterz and Hot Shots. The Dynamic Strikers, Laboratory and Intensive Gutter Busters filled the last three places in the 12-team field.

Marlon Peralta (Incredibowls) rolled 178 pinfalls to take the high single award from Ahmed Aly (Lucky Strikers) 176 and Dan Garrett (Incredibowls) 171. Female high game prize was shared by Nhel Cuaresma (Lucky Strikers) and Venus Coja (Leave No Pin Standing) who both scored 136 in the final.
