JEDDAH: JDC Veterans of coach Ricky Abdulaziz Yu defeated Jacobs UDG 81-71 to advance in the Group B semifinals in the SEIKO Watch-JBL Invitational Basketball Tournament at the Khalidia court here.
JDC Veterans applied good defense in the second half of the game. Jacobs UDG missed their range in the final quarter. Manlangit scored 17 points for JDC Veterans and was adjudged as the SEIKO Watch best player of the game while Dela Rosa chipped in 33 points for Jacobs UDG.

Condez top-scored with 26 points for New Cabalen Restaurant — R Printing and was adjudged as the Giordano best players of the game while Navio and Reprado had 14 points apiece for SACC.
Knights of Coach Rey Madattu defeated Sand City 83-81. Knights managed to contain the last offensive play of Sand City with a tough defense. Sand City unleashed a desperation jumper to put the game in overtime but the ball bounced the rim and went out. Garcia had 30 points for Knights and was adjudged as the JBL best player of the game while Buhano chipped in 25 points for Sand City.
JDC All Star A beat Breman Islamic Center 70-68 for the 1st semifinal seat in the Inter Dawah Division. Breman almost took the game from JDC A with its last minute run and gun offense. JDC A with 8 seconds remaining went to its big man Hugnatan for the winning shot. Jameel Cobre scored 21 points for JDC A and was adjudged as the SEIKO Watch best player of the game while Edwardo top-scored with 20 points for Breman Islamic Center.
Thursday, Fakieh Group of playing coach Ruel Bristol defeated Jeddah Clippers 81-69. Fakieh Group’s outside snipping proved the main factor of the win. Ancheta top-scored with 19 points for Fakieh Group and was adjudged as the JBL best player of the game while Mateo led the Jeddah Clippers with 33 points.
Wasalak of coach Fred Conception beat Underdogs 104-91. Wasalak was unstoppable in their running game. Underdogs missed important jumpers in the crucial minutes of the game. Pugao collected 29 points for Wasalak and was adjudged as the New Cabelen Restaurant best player of the game while Paul Taguba scored 21 points for the Underdogs.
