JEDDAH: After six weeks and 80 league matches, the fifth season of Jeddah Champions Trophy cricket tournament has entered the knockout stages with 32 teams vying for a spot in the final to be played on Nov. 20.

Out of the 40 participating teams, 8 have already entered knocked stage while the other 32 teams will have to win their knockout matches starting with super 32, super 16, quarters and semis in order to qualify for the final.

As for the teams that fail to make it to the final, separate stage wise matches will be held to decide one winner from each stage. The eight teams, which have already been knocked out will play matches among themselves to decide one clear winner in round 1. Likewise, each of the knocked out teams will play matches against other knocked out teams in separate rounds to decide winners of each round, namely round 2 for super 32 stage, round 3 for super 16 stage, round 4 for quarters and round 5 for semis.

The tournament is being organized by team Azizia Deccan and sponsored by Ford-Al Jazirah Vehicles under the co-sponsorship of TREVI ASC (Trevi Group), E-Lounge, Spice Sense & MOA DIGITAL OUTDOOR MEDIA.
