JEDDAH: Jeddah Titans beat VICCM 109-103 to claim Group A championship via a best-of-three series sweep in the 2016 Titan Watch-JBL Basketball Tour here in Khalidia basketball court Jeddah.

It was a tight ball game up to the last seconds of the game. VICCM almost won the game but a costly error in the dying seconds gave Titans their first championship in JBL. Bernard Cariño top-scored with 26 points for Jeddah Titans and was adjudged as the TITAN Watch Best Player of the game while Carbonel scored 31 points for VICCM.

Cinnabon played organized offense to defuse the highly motivated Gensoul Eagle even with 7 players only. Encabo chipped in 23 points for Cinnabon and was adjudged as the Giordano Best Player of the game while Umlas had 37 points for Gensoul Eagle.

Fame Thunders of Miramonte Brothers beat Radian Khalidia 98-88. Fame Thunders used a run-and-gun offense up to final quarter. Radian Khalidia missed crucial baskets in the last minutes of the game. Gallano and Rimas scored 25 and 23 points apiece for Fame Thunders and were adjudged as the JBL best players of the game while Alvarado had 19 points for Radian Khalidia.

Khalidia Tambayz of coach Ronnie defeated Movenpick Resort 125-95 to tie their best-of-thre championship series at 1-1. Khalidia Tambayz played their offense well in the while game. They managed to look for the open man to attack Movenpick Resort defense. Garcia top-scored with 31 points for Khalidia Tambayz and was adjudged as Titan Watch Best Player of the game while Dula led the Movenpick Resort with 33 points.

Gensoul Eagle and Knights won by default to claim third palce for 40 & above category and Group B category respectively. UDG defaulted because its players were unavailable having gone to their native Philippines for vacation. NRF likewise cited the lack of players as the reason for the default.
