WINNIPEG, Manitoba: Mark Scheifele and Drew Stafford each had two goals and an assist and the Winnipeg Jets beat the Vancouver Canucks 4-1 on Wednesday night to end a six-game losing streak.

Mathieu Perreault had three assists and Ondrej Pavelec made 29 saves for the Jets.

Stafford put the Jets up 1-1 late in the second period with his first goal in 12 games. He scored again with 1:34 left in the game into an empty net.

Winnipeg was outscored 27-10 during its skid and had allowed 5.25 goals per game over its past four.

Ryan Miller stopped 30 shots and the Canucks lost their fourth game in a row. This was the last in a seven-game trip — Vancouver’s longest this season.

Daniel Sedin scored on the power play for Vancouver 6:44 into the second period.

Capitals 2, Red Wings 1 (OT): Evgeny Kuznetsov’s goal 45 seconds into overtime gave the Washington Capitals a 2-1 win against the Detroit Red Wings.

Justin Williams also scored for Washington, while goaltender Braden Holtby made 25 saves.

Forward Dylan Larkin scored for Detroit (9-8-2) and goalie also Petr Mrazek made 25 saves.

Blackhawks 4, Oilers 3 (OT): Chicago blew a 3-2 lead late in the third period but Marian Hossa scored on a breakaway in overtime as the Blackhawks beat the Edmonton Oilers 4-3.

The goal came after Blackhawks goaltender Corey Crawford robbed Oilers winger Taylor Hall with a spectacular glove save in overtime, setting the stage for Hossa’s winner.
