YANBU: Jotun Paints got the better of Al-Muzain by four wickets to emerge champions in the MYAS Twenty20 Sports Festival Cricket Tournament.

Muzain used the track first after they won the toss and put up a decent score of 161 for 5 from the allotted 20 overs. They got the first shock when their main batsman A. Shoaib was caught by Afzal off Sharjeel. Sajwal and Yaseen (69) steadied the innings but Iftikhar stumped Sajwal when the total was 72.

Zaheer (35) and Aqib (25 not out) were the other main contributors. Tanveer took 2 for 28 runs while Sharjeel and Afzal shared 2 wickets.

Jotun Paints go off to a very shaky start as their openers, Sharjeel and Iftikhar were back in the pavilion without a run being scored. Afzal (89 not out) and Liaqat (25) steadied the innings as they put on 62 runs for the third wicket. Catches wins matches was once again the quote of the day as Al-Muzain dropped as many as 8 catches including those of Afzal. Akbar scored 15 runs while Irfan remained unbeaten on 13. Jotun Paints reached the target after 19.2 for the loss of 5 wickets. Aqib took 3 for 21 runs while Yaseen and Zaheer took one wicket each.

Adnan Hadriy and YACA President Akram Qureshi were the chief guests and distributed the prizes.
