Kabalen became the fourth to repeat as Team of the Week in a sequence began by MC Hammer on the 8th week in the OSN-FTBJ 49th Open Conference bowling tournament here.

Kabalen, also the seventh week honoree, posted the top tally of 43 points for its second team award during the 11th session.

In addition to Hammer and Kabalen Jeddah Lanes and Bank AlJazira Fawri on the ninth and 10th weeks nailed their second team honors.

Curiously, these four teams occupy the top four places in the team standings with MC Hammer, which pooled 35 points next to Taurus/Amigos (42.5), in first place.

Jeddah Lanes and Fawri Money Transfer Services tied on 32 points. Sky Freight-OSN followed on 28.5 points, while AFM-Moe and Red Dragons tied on 26 points.

Geely Car tallied 17 points. Bringing up the rear were Habagat 14, Fine Boys Rhinoz 12 and SPBC Bowlers 4.

Nap Patayan of Taurus shot the high series of 707 on lines of 258, 236 and 213 to become the Bowler of the Week in this Saturday night five-man team league event sponsored by OSN.

The trio of Jojie Manalansan, Rene Ocampo and Edwin Ronquillo poured in the big numbers for Kabalen on 653, 578 and 568 as their team won a close fight with Taurus.

Contributing two games each were Jay Bengco 185-214, Mhon Laxamana 235-150 and Jayson Castillo 188-169.

Bandar Al Dossary was a few pins short of 600 as he backed up Patayan at Taurus on 591. Sami Al Qarni at 561 was the other player to go the distance at Taurus. Alex Flora added valuable 204-212, Ric Nangel made 188-143 and Jimmy Urbano had 182-183.

Over at MC Hammer the triumvirate of Jhun Estefano, Shams Mustafa and Richard Junio bowled solid on 630, 617 and 609 that went with the 181-183 by Zaldy Bacero, 159-158 by Dylan Ilagan and 178-169 by Melvin Lisisng.

Jeddah Lanes had Paolo Allego in front on 616 followed by Majid Aslani 575 and Igna Salgado 570.

Meantime, the 2014 FTBJ Male Bowler of the Year finals takes place Saturday, Dec. 6, at Jeddah Lanes. Roll-off is at 7 p.m.
