JEDDAH: Pepsi Deccan Knights mauled Multan Tigers by 10 wickets in the third week of the Ace Travel Saudi Cup, organized by the Jeddah Cricket Association.
PDK first bowled out the Tigers for a paltry 130 runs and then knocked-off the required runs in 5.5 overs without losing a wicket.
For the winners, Kashif Shafeeq was in top form he scored an unbeaten 126 off only 31 balls (17 fours, 9 sixes). His partner at the other end managed only seven runs in the four balls he faced.
Medium pacer Akbar bagged five for 22, his second in the tourney.
In other matches, MB Stars beat Rawalpindi by 6 wickets. Thanks to Jawad’s superb spell of three for 21, Saudi German Hospital thrashed Peeran XI by 141 runs. Taqi was the match winner as he scored 79 runs and then bagged two for 14.
Banswada Ball Burner continued their unbeaten run this season as they beat new entrants G Board by eight runs. Shahzad’s showed fine form as he scored an unbeaten 36 and later bagged three for 31. Hyderabad Sharks Premier routed Malik XI by nine wickets. Mohammed Shahzad scored an unbeaten 42 runs and took two for 10.
