RIYADH: King Faisal Specialist Hospital Blues, Fonte Star, Pak Eagles and Abana have won the championship title of RCA American Express Twenty20 in their respective leagues. The tournament was organized by Riyadh Cricket Association and was sponsored by American Express.

Al-Kharaj League: KFSH Blues won the championship’s Super League title. In a thrilling Super Over final, KFSH Blues scored a thrilling one-run win over Pak Shaheen. Pak Shaheen batted first and posted 215. Ishaq top scored with 53 runs. Later, Waheed propped up the innings with a well-made 46 runs. Imtiaz picked up 3 and Nadeem Babar grabbed 2 wickets respectively.

In reply, KFSH Blues equaled the scores for the loss of 6 wickets. Nadeem Babar starred with 109 off just 65 balls. Yasir gave him support with a crucial 45. Dawood and Javed took 2 wickets each. KFSH Blues scored 11 runs in the Super Over. Pak Shaheen was restricted to 10 for 2. Iftikhar Ali was the star of Super Over as he got both the batsmen out. Mohmmad Nadeem Babar was Man-of-the-Match. Faisal Khan won the Best Player Award while Best Batsman and Best Bowler’s awards went to Ishaq Ahmad and Jabbar Hussain respectively.

Huraymala League: Fonte Star was crowned champions as they thumped Pak Force by 58 runs. Thanks to a brilliant knock of 105 by Bilal Wani. Fonte Stars piled up 200 for 6. Pak Force were all out for 142 runs. Gohar scored 43. Yasir, Ghulam and Afaq shared 2 wickets each. Man-of-the-Match award went to Bilal Wani. Zafar Mahmood was Player-of-the-Tournament. Waseem Jutt won the Best Batsman and Ghulam earned the Best Bowler awards.

Hayer League: Pak Eagles put on board 223 for 6. Altaf Tahir balsted 61 while Farooq got 40. Zaheer and Aasim shared 2 wickets each. In reply Thales managed to score 151 runs only. Aziz top scored with 41 runs. Masaud and Waheed bowled exceptionally well and shared 4 wickets each. Altaf picked up 2 wickets. Man-of-the-Match was awarded to Altaf Tahir for his all-round performance. Amjad Ali emerged as the Player-of-the-Tournament. Best Batsman award went to Mohammad Arshad and Mohammad Iqbal won the Best Bowler awards.

Diriyah League: Abana thrashed Saham by 13 runs in the final. Abana scored 186 for 7. Abu Baker smashed 83 runs. Owais picked up 2 wickets. Saham top order collapse restricted them to 173 runs only. Alamgir scored 46 runs. Abid and Adnan ran through Saham’s batting line up and claimed 3 wickets each. Abu Baker was declared Man-of-the-Match and was also the Player of the Tournament. Faisal Khan and Nadeem Shahid won the Best Batsman and Best Bowler awards respectively.

RCA also held the prize distribution ceremony for the Champions Trophy held earlier. Dirab League’s captain Nasir Abbasi received the winner’s trophy. Wahab Khan of Majmah League received the runner-up cup. Among the top performers, Ishaq Ahmed won the Best Batsman and Muzaffer Majeed earned the Best Bowler awards. Abdul Waheed was declared Player-of-the-Tournament. Hamaz Abbasi and Abdul Qadir won the Best Fielder and Best Wicketkeeper awards respectively.
