RIYADH: KFSH Blues scored a thrilling three-run win over Amir Holidays to triumph in the final of the Sikander Farooqui Memorial 6-over cricket tournament, sponsored by Al-Momen International School and organized by the Riyadh Cricket Association, here.

KFSH scored 85 runs from their stipulated overs after they elected to bat. Nasir Abbasi top-scored with 32 runs.

In reply Amir Holidays managed 82 runs.

Twenty-one teams took part in the one-day tournament, during which 20 matches were played on a knockout basis, held in the memory of late Sikander Farroqui, one of the founders of the game in Saudi Arabia.

RCA CEO Nadeem Babar inaugurated the tournament.

In the semifinals, Amir Holidays beat Pak Shaheen by 4 runs in a nail-biting finish. Amir Holidays scored 103. Imran (65) and Sami (21) were the top scorers.

Pak Shaheen in reply came close but finished with 98. Wahid (33) and Abdulwahab (25) to the fight to the rival camp.

In the second semifinal, KFSH Blues routed RAC by 53 runs. KFSH Blues batted first and put on board 113. Qaiser Hussain (62) and Imtiaz (27) were the men in form. RAC managed 60. Sajjid Cheema scored 29.

In the quarterfinals, KFSH Blues beat Riyadh Fighters by 14 runs. KFSH Blues scored 102 for 2. Qaiser Hussain scored 62 off 19 balls while Saqib added 29. Riyadh Fighters failed in their chase and managed 88 runs. Yasir scored 55.

Amir Holidays beat Lahore Badshah Green by 8 wickets. Lahore Badshah Green managed 46 for 2. Irfan scored 34. Imran took 2 wickets. Amir Holidays achieved the target comfortably and won the match. Irfan scored 34.

In other quarterfinals, Pak Shaheen beat Green Bangla while RAC got better of Shouraim.
