JEDDAH: Khalidia Balik Islam of playing coach Khalid Imet Villanueva defeated Breman Islamic Cneter 101-91 for 3rd place in the Inter-Dawah Division of the SEIKO Watch-JBL Invitational Basketball Tournament at Khalidia court here.
KD Balik Islam dominated the shaded area in the final quarter as Breman missed their shots in the dying seconds of the game. Amer scored a game-high 26 points for KD Balik Islam and was adjudged as the SEIKO Watch best player of the game while Mahmoud Quidlat led Breman Islamic Center with 24 points.

Fakieh Group of playing coach Ruel Bristol beat Knights 100-96 in overtime to advance to the Inter-company Group B semifinal. Fakieh Group played good defense in the overtime period as Knights started to lose steam and missed their targets. Caneta top-scored with 27 points for Fakieh Group and was adjudged as the SEIKO Watch best player of the game while Gonzales collected 22 points for the Knights.
Wasalak 40’s of coach Fred Conception beat Khalidia 40’s 95-92 in their semifinal match. Wasalak 40’s went to the open man in their final offensive play for the win. Creencia scored 21 points for Wasalak 40’s and was adjudged as the SEIKO Watch best player of the game while Amang Catador top-scored with 22 points for Khalidia 40’s.
JDC Veteras of coach Andulaziz Ricky Yu defeated BHBC 103-91. JDC Veterans played their offense well in the whole game as BHBC defense collapsed in the final quarter. Bryan Callueng top-scored with 31 points for JDC Veterans and was adjudged as the Giordano best players of the game while Gandian had 43 big points for BHBC.
Thursday, Pazadaure of coach Ray Mangohig beat Tetra Pak 109-57 for third place in Inter-Company Group A. Pazadaure’s running game was unstoppable from the start. Tatra Pak missed shots in the second half of the game due to man-to-man defense of Pazadaure. Tubid chipped in with 28 points for Pazadaure and was adjudged as the New Cabalen Restaurant best player of the game while Collado had 25 points for Tetra Pak.
New Cabalen Restaurant-R Printing coach Jhun Pantaleon defeated Wasalak 104-90. New Cabalen Restaurant-R Printing applied tough defense from the start of the game to halt the outside shooters of Wasalak. Condez led New Cabalen Restaurant with 44 points and was adjudged as JBL best player of the game while Navarro had 36 points for Wasalak.
Meanwhile: JBL Teens finished their Draft Night last Saturday in preparation for their 1st Basketball Tournament. There will be 3 divisions will play in the tournament with 8 teams for Midget Division, 6 for Juniors Division and another 8 for mix Seniors and Juniors to give more exposure to the best junior player playing in senior league. JBL Teens tournament is expected to open on Nov. 25 after the awarding for Seiko Watch – JBL Basketball Tournament.
